Assume each fighter had a full training camp to prepare and they where all at 100% health. List your winners of just the first round. I wasn't thinking and only asked for top 12 seeds when I needed 16 I added the last 4 by votes people had gave to fighters that in the end didn't make the top 12 as well as added Couture.

Brock Lesnar vs AA
Frank Mir vs Big Nog
Alistar Overeem vs Big Foot Silva
Fabricio Wedum vs Josh Barnett
Cain Velasquez vs Randy Couture
JDS vs Roy Nelson
Shane Carwin vs Brett Rodgers
Fedor vs GG

Winners
Brock
Mir
Overeem
Barney
Cain
JDS
Carwin
Fedor

I figure he's not going to advance in this tourney, but I believe he can really show how great of a fighter he is at 117 and will. He gets my vote here for those reasons.

JDS but if Nelson gets top position at any point in the fight you might as well wrap it all up in a bow and gift it to Nelson IMO

Lesnar via Takedown and Gnp stoppage as Arlovski cant take heavy repeated blows.

Frank Mir via UD - Nog doesnt move well enough, and if Mir goes for takedowns i can see him not getting submitted in a 3 rounder.

Alistair Overeem - Funny enough, after the first 3 minutes Overeem's chances skyrocket.

Barnett - He can force it to be a stand-up fight like against Nog, but he has the tools win on the feet handily

Cain Velasquez - Too fast and big for couture to deal with on the feet, and if anything the wrestling is probably a wash.

JDS - Punching Power and accuracy

Carwin - i think he can land the first punch, but he can also get knocked out himself.

Fedor - He'd blow a hole through Gonzaga on the feet and crumple him early.

I only have one discrepancey with all the votes. Everyone picked Mir. I can see that fight being won by NOG. On the ground. I think NOG has better jits than Mir. If he can get a TD and keep Frank on his back. Nog is a dominant grappler, and a good game planner. When they fight again, don't be suprised if NOG takes it to the mat, in any manner! Pulling guard might even happen!?
