Dana White has often said that light heavyweight Stephan Bonnar will always have a home in the UFC, but he's never said that home is in the cage. A finalist on the original season of "The Ultimate Fighter," Bonnar's place in UFC history is secure, but "The American Psycho" knows if he wants to keep his place on the active roster, he must get a win at tonight at UFC 116 event. Bonnar faces Krzysztof Soszynski in a rematch of their spirited UFC 110 bout in February. Bonnar and Soszynski combined to for two rousing rounds of action before an accidental headbutt from "The Polish Experiment" led to an incorrect TKO call from the referee in the final frame. Bonnar hasn't won in nearly 3 years and a loss here could get him cut, a fate recently suffered by popular fighter Keith Jardine, released after losing 4 in a row.

I believe even if he got the axe the UFC would keep him around as an interviewer, guest commentator or something.

I think the UFC will keep him but if he loses tonight then he has to go get a couple wins outside of the UFC and then come back.

Yeah, Dana has said several times that he'll always have a place in the UFC, whether it's fighting or something else.

I have a lot of respect for Bonnar even if he hasn't won in three years. He always puts on a show and he's one of those guys that make it an emotional fight for me to watch because of how much I wanna see him stay in the organization. It was the same with Jardine, I really liked him and hated seeing him lose but now he's gone. Please, not Bonnar too!!

what will probably happen is dana wont cut him officially he just wont give him anymore fights if he loses. if he cut him he'd be a hypocrite so he cant really do that without getting ridiculed. bonner needs a win badly cause even if he puts up the fight of the year and loses his record will still show that he cant win anymore.

I have a lot of respect for Bonnar as a fighter but that's where it stops.
I won't say anything else because I fear I would really start fighter bashing.
Oh the anger of having to hold it all back!
