Joe Stevenson is now off UFC On Versus 2 on August 1 due to a knee injury suffered in training. He was to have faced Takanori Gomi. Tyson Griffin, just coming off a split decision loss to Evan Dunham, will be the replacement.

Tyson is a great fighter he just always seems to fight down/up to the level of competition he faces. He almost never finishes it seems like he just enjoys an even fight for some reason. Maybe this loss to Dunham has got him to lose that gut, work hard and finish someone.
War Griffin.

Actually Dunham was just the better fighter. No gut or desire to be in a close fight is a valid excuse for losing to Dunham.

I think this is a closer fight now. I know joe was just going to take Gomi down and grind him out.

Might go with Gomi here idk.

When I saw stevenson off the card first thing was either dunham or spencer fisher was gonna fill in
Glad to get a tyson griffin instead. I do see a decision but joe is a lot stronger
Than tyson so gomi has a good chance of winning this fight

Dunham is a great fighter but do you really beleive he is a better fighter than Tyson. To me it looked like Tyson came out looking out of shape and slow and still he only lost a split decision. In other fights this is evident to like when he was drained in the 3rd rounds with Edgar, Guida and Sherk. If he got in better shape then he would dominate.

Tyson Griffin did not have a gut...He was in very good shape, he came in at 154?!?! He trained his ass off. It was just a bad matchup for him height/reach disadvantage. Dunham won by holding the back and controlling. And I believe Griffin is the better fighter...but holding the back worked for Dunham.
