link A group of fighters including UFC mainstays Ryan Bader, Aaron Simpson, and C.B. Dollaway will open a new gym later this year in Arizona, hoping to bring in more top competitors to work with.
Previously training at Arizona Combat Sports, the group of fighters saw an opportunity to pursue a dream that many mixed martial artists have and that is to open a gym of their own.

I wonder why Velasquez didn't get in on that.

Why would he? I think he's doing just fine @ AKA.

Arizona was home for him. He doesn't have to leave AKA, necessarily. It's just a business opportunity.

I'm not sure how close he is to any of those guys, so who knows.

bad idea if they plan to have the camp there. Hopefully they do what Extreme Couture has done by getting great trainers, fighters together to push each other too the max. All pro fighters need a real camp and trainer, it is not good to open your own gym, and not have a real trainer to push you (besides being your own trainer). A lot of guys who left the Az. Combat have lost after the move. Any fighter that is great, who opens a gym, should not take their talent for granted.
