We spoke with Muhammed "King Mo'" Lawal at last weekend's MMA Expo in Toronto and we asked him about the prospect of fighting friend and training partner Renato Sobral, should Babalu get past Robbie Lawler in the pair's 195-pound catchweight bout tonight, and according to the Strikeforce light heavyweight champ, the fight will likely never happen.
"The thing is, Babalu is like my brother. I knew him before I started fighting and he was actually my favorite fighter when I first started to really follow the sport," explained Lawal. "I'll fight anybody but him."
So then, the question is who will Strikeforce match him up with?

Isn't Babalu attempting to drop down to 185? So it doesn't even matter anyways.

Yeah I know that but I thought Babalu was dropping down to 185 after the fight, isn't he?

Just found this
Babalu won't fight King Mo
So it's mutual on both sides. In the video clip Babalu also talks about the fact that he'll fight at 185 or 205- all that matters to him is good matchups. So I was half right half wrong, lol.

King Mo couldn't beat Fedor if they gave him a 2 rounds to none advantage to start with. I respect the hell out of Mo, but NO.

I think Mo would be making a big mistake in underestimating Fedor's hand speed, KO Power, and grapling. Mo's got steel nuts for sure, but Fedor is out of his league....plus why deny the fans Fedor vs Overeem for Mo.....Fedor vs Overeem should be where SF is heading in the HW division.

Well King Mo should fight Gegard in a rematch before he fights anyone else.

Might as well try to talk your way into that payday while Fedor's in your organization no matter how impossible it is I guess. Can't blame him for trying lol.
