A bout pitting Team Ortiz's Jamie Yager (2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Team Liddell's Rich Attonito (7-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is set for the preliminary card of The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, a source close to the event confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).
The meeting of eliminated cast members takes place next Saturday, June 19, at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
The night's main card, including the Court McGee vs. Kris McCray finale, airs live on Spike TV.
Both fighters fell short in the 28-man/32-slot middleweight tournament.
Yager, the fourth pick of Tito Ortiz's team, scored a 26-second knockout of Ben Stark in an elimination-round bout, and he advanced to the quarterfinals with a subsequent TKO of Charles Blanchard. However, his "TUF" run came to an end when he didn't answer the bell for the third round in a fight with Josh Bryant.

i never thought much of him, he's too upright, I'm surprised he made it as far as he did. He might have developed since the show but I seriously doubt he's going to be able to change much.

Come on, everyone should know what Yager is on the main card. It's strictly entertainment! Who doesn't want to watch Yager fight after all the running of his mouth he did. That being said I thought he should be fighting Hammortree. Attonito should win this one pretty easily.

I agree with the majority here, I think attonito will win this for sure. either a UD or a tko from yager giving up/running out of gas.
Also, how did attonito get picked for this fight. I can think of at least 3 guys i'd rather see fight yager cuz of bad blood from the house.
I'm surprised to see yager on the main card because he will not last in the UFC. I'm not surprised to see him on the main card since he did the most self-promoting on the show........reminiscent of one junie browning in a lot of ways, lol

I knew Jamie would get a fight on the finale but I wanted him to fight Kasey Oscuola(sp). Yager's stand up is weak at best. If you can get past his completly telegraphed flying strikes and counter with a straight punch. Your gold. Where the hell is Josh Haynes when you need him!!!??? War Bring the Pain Haynes!!!!! Maybe the best nickname eva!!
