Urijah Faber will now officially be a problem for the bantamweight division. The former WEC featherweight champion will make the move down to 135lbs for his next fight on August 18 as he faces Japanese fighter Takeya Mizugaki in the WEC. The bout was confirmed to MMAWeekly by sources close to the fight stating bout agreements have been issued at this point for the bantamweight showdown. The event hasn't been announced yet by WEC but will probably be in Las Vegas.

This could be a pretty sweet fight actually....I think Faber will get the nod or late submission .

The whole retirement talk about Faber was ridiculous. I still consider him the #2 featherweight, especially since he took a couple rounds against Mike Brown with a broken hand. He'll win this fight.

That's a war for sure, faber prolly gets the nod by being more active and faster.

#2, #3, #4 - he has run empty on title shots at featherweight.
If he can make the cut, moving to bantamweight is a wise idea.
Mizugaki won't be easy though.

Urijah's #2 - he'd be a betting favorite against anyone but aldo(Mike Brown Included) and No one really has the resume to compete with what he's done at Fw.
I like this fight. It'll be interesting to see how the cut hinders/boosts certain talents he has a fighter.
