Still not impressed with the pay. One of the biggest UFC's ever and the total payout was 1.345 mil or something like that? Especially when you consider that the main eventers made up 3/4 of that. Would like to see the total payout at least compare to the gate take which I believe was upwards of 3.8-4 mil. I could be totally wrong and if I am then I retract my statements.

My problem with the payouts has always been the pay of the new fighters I seem to remember John Howard getting paid $6,000 including his win bonus in his UFC debut!

The UFC needs to be more transparent when it comes to how they divide up the PPV proceeds.

Chances are they legally can't reveal fighters actual pay, but it did leak out back when Randy was retiring-unretiring every week that he was making over 1 million a fight.

I imagine Jackelope is right and that even when the PPV money gets divided the lions share goes to Zuffa and the headliners and whats left might get split among the rest of the fighters but the only people know know for sure aren't telling.

Sad day that Brilz only got 11,000 to win that fight while Lil Nog got almost four times that in just his win bonus.

Remember the figures don't include any other bonuses, including the nightly bonuses-Brilz actually got $76K because he got $65K more for FOTN.

I knew Dana would give him that. My roommate even said as much. How could he not? He should have gotten the win bonus, too.

Yeah the judges took money out of Brillz pocket for sure. And is Rashad evans really a 500k fighter????? Not if all he is going to do is Lay and Pray!!! I hated his performance. I get the safe strategy but then at least go with the GSP attitude. Don't hype a slugfest of a fight for a year, then go out dance around and out wrestle a guy.

But he won 65,000 from a FOTN bonus on that night but I understand what you mean

absolutely right. in fact during that court case it was revealed that chuck liddell had taken home over $4 million for each of four consecutive fights around that time. the ppv share is huge for the top guys, but it's the lower guys that are suffering.

i imagine it's very difficult to manage a roster with so many up and coming fighters and pay them all well, but i'm sure there is room to breathe. the bottom tier could be doubled without to much trouble imo.
