" it has huge downside for fans who wanted to see Antonio Rogerio Nogueira showcase his talent against top contenders. Could the UFC not get a better replacement? Thiago Silva and Jon Jones would have been much better replacements if they would have been willing to fight."

I agree with Jones' decision. He wouldnt have enough time to properly train and Nog is someone you need a serious camp before fighting, even if you are Jones. I think someday they'll fight, maybe even later this year but it doesn't make sense now.

I don't blame Jones. This would be the biggest fight of his life and he would almost have a month to train. I think if he steps in against someone he's not ready for to soon then he would lose. I don't think he is ready for this fight mentally.

i can see the logic in jons decision, but i still think its fair to feel disappointed in it. right now of guys ready for the big time, jones has to be near the top of everyones list and i for one like to see if the hype train is just a handcart, especially if im on board.

I would rather see Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim fight on the PPV instead of the Lil Nog vs. Brilz.

jones made the right decision. as an up and coming prospect you dont take your biggest challenge on such short notice. that would have teh potential to be an awesome fight though

I think Lil Nog would beat Jones fairly easily, I think Jones is the future but I don't think he has evolved enough yet to defeat a heavy hitter with a good ground game.

Not only would Jones not have enough time to prepare for this fight, but that would be rushing him along too soon IMO.

Just to let you guys know, that was proven false. Jones was never offered the fight with Lil Nog.

Just to clear the record i've never turn down a mma fight against anyone and never will..

Jones is definetly not ducking Nog, they both have fights coming up and if they both win they will more than likely fight each other for a #1 contender bout. AS for who takes Jones by decision, to fast and technical

Yeah, for the first 13/4's of the fight. After that you're fairly safe.
