I think Paul Daley's ridiculous actions last night have halted the talk of the 1st controversy in this match. We all saw it i just want to get everyone's opinion on it me and all my friends believe that the knee didn't touch him but in the post fight press conference he claims it hit him in the eye?!?! I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt after the Johnson fight but twice?

The thigh of Daley very well could have brushed past Josh's face, maybe his shorts hit Josh in the eye. The thing that gets me is, if Josh was faking, it would have taken him a moment to react, and secondly, you'd think he'd be complaining that he got hit in the face rather than the eye. I dunno, I don't think he did anything wrong even if he was faking. Daley clearly threw an illegal maneuver, and Josh took advantage of it. People do this legally in soccer in just about every game.

Yeah it does happen in soccer all the time and i hate it there as well. I jus don't want this to start becoming common place in MMA complain by all means but to claim he needed time to get his bearings i'm not sure. But then again maybe i'm just being biased because i'm not a fan of Kos.

I do think that Daley took Kos off the hook, to some extent. Still, it wasn't Kos who fouled twice in one match. If he was acting, that's all it was, and in the end, it didn't even work - the referee reversed his decision and gave Daley a warning instead of taking a point away. If Daley hadn't lost his freaking mind, Kos would probably be the defendant in the court of public opinion this morning, but...

daley threw the illegal strike, koscheck faked getting hit by it. funny how everybody seems to focus only on koscheck. daley is a poor sportsman, bottom line, and he more than proved it in this fight.

As i've said here and in another thread Daley's actions are disgraceful and imo he deserves to be cut there is no need for that in any sport. I just wanted to gage peoples opinions on Kos because this isn't the first time it's happened with him

I hope this doesn't become a regular occurance, From the replays i've seen and I have'nt tried to really analyse anything the shot caught his hair and that was it. The knee came flying out with force I would have thought even with a glancing blow from shin Koschecks head would have snapped back atleast alittle but his head is still moving downward and only comes up when Koscheck looks up at the ref to complain.

My 10 bobs worths.

Im a huge Kos fan and even though i dont rele think it hit him hard if at all the fact that it was illegal and Kos did keep fighting its not like he wanted the fight to end that way nor did he seem to mind that they gave the point back while he went on to dominate him on the ground.

Glad Daily got cut he is just a punk and sore loser terrible example of the sport.

I think Daley knew what he was doing when he threw that knee, but I'm a poker player and I'm pretty good at finding an actor, and I would say that Kos faked that one and one time in the Johnson fight as well, just because the expression doesn't match the body language or the reaction.

God I hate it when people speculate about these things.

It's always these comments like "oh well his knee was moving a certain speed and so I think it would've done "x" amount of damage, but it didn't so he's faking."

There's just no possible way anyone other than Koschek can definitively say how much the knee hurt or where or if it hit him. Give the dude the benefit of the doubt at least.

What i don't understand is how he can grab his eye and start to cry about it? You're a fighter, you get hit much harder than that... His head didn't even move from that knee, he gets up and says "Where am i?" that's bogus, you know exactly where you are, if you didn't you wouldn't continue to fight.

I think it brushed him and he wanted for Daley to get a point deducted, he was at no point gonna quit i think he just wanted a point deducted form Daley. Either way its stupid you no you can't knee to the face of a ground apponent, i still can't believe how often it happens

Kos is just as disgraceful as Daley for faking, IMO. This made me dislike Kos a lot.

Kos was not totally acting- when I watch the actual fight not the replays I saw a bit of blood at the area that the nose meets the eye . I thinhk the big toe actually caught him. The knee was thrown with bad intent and if it had landed it would have been bad for Kos and worse for daily- I would love to have heard some of what was being said between them. What did kos say that put Daily over the top to do such a bonehead move???
Daily is a slightly better version of Houston alexander- a great puncher but too one dimensional to ever be a top contender. Do I think he desrved a title shot? NO WAY. I can list 10 170s that can beat him
Kos
Fitch
Alves
Hughes
grace
Serra
Tibau
Sanches
Diaz
Hendricks

He was cut on the bridge of the nose before that knee.
