It's back to Light Heavyweight for James Irvin. After just one fight at Middleweight he's moving back up to face Igor Pokrajac at UFC On Versus 2 in Salt Lake City, UT. Both fighters need a win to avoid the Losing Streak Of Doom and a possible pink slip.

This might be a great fight to watch, these guys are fighting for their livelihood, those always make for great fight scenarios.

If only I had cable...

I just don't think James has picked up the ground skills necessary to win....I like watching him stand and bang but he is too one dimensional for MMA....I think he should go to K-1.

Sorry but James Irvin would get destroyed by most guys in K-1.

You're being serious? James Irvin would get absolutely destroyed by lower tier K-1 fighters.

Yes...I don't hink he will take the belt anytime soon but he would do better considering his stand up game/ ko power in his hands and knees (he trains a lot in Thailand with Fairtex). That and his incredible lack of the ground game, makes sense to me....more than him fighting against guys like Igor who aren't ranked in the top 50 and most likely destroying him on the mat in under 5 minutes. Plus he is a Cali guy, and K-1 pays very well. They would love him for his muscles and tats alone.
