Dennis Hallman (41-13-2 MMA, 1-4 UFC) will have to wait a bit longer to drop weight.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned that the MMA veteran and recent UFC returnee is expected to meet Ben Saunders (8-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) in a welterweight bout on the non-televised portion of UFC 117, according to multiple sources close to the event. Though bout agreements have not yet been signed, both fighters are expected to put pen to paper shortly.

"UFC 117: Silva vs. Sonnen" takes place Aug. 7 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif.

Saunders is such an exciting fighterm, I would hate to see Dennis Hallman lay n prey him for the win. I am hoping Saunders ends this with knees in the clinch 1st rd.

Hallman won't win this unless he catches a heel hook. Saunders by KO.

This is a "Let's get our boy Ben a win" type of fight.

Saunders by some sort of stoppage involving strikes

I think it will be closer when hallman decides to use his wrestling to take this fight to the ground.

If Hallman had trained as hard as he claims to now 7-8 years ago he might be a star or legend in MMA.
