UFC middleweight Jorge Rivera told MMAjunkie.com in March that he shouldn't even have to ask to fight at UFC 118, the promotion's first trip to Boston.
Apparently, he didn't.
MMAjunkie.com has learned from sources close to the promotion that the Massachusetts resident and Italian slugger Alessio Sakara have verbally agreed to meet at the event.

Awesome, Jorge was a wild man last fight, and Alessio is gotten som econsecutive wins. This fight is important for Mw division, moreso than nate vs Alessio, which was not an even matchup. I think this winner should face wandy akiyama winner or belcher cote winner
Nate vs Vitor has gotta happen to determine the number 1 contender behind Chael.

I like this match up, it has a lot of potential to be a barn burner. I think this is a better step up for Alessio. Nate would have been to far a leap. I am excited for this!

Nate would have grounded Alessio easily. Whereas Jorge will stand and trade so it should be an exciting fight. I got Jorge by KO I think even though he's not as technical, he has more power.

Sakara is waaaay more technical the jorge, jorges hands down bomb throwing in his last two fights is going to get him KTFO'd in this one, Alessio has alot more crisp striking

Yeah sakara is more technical but rivera has the power and cardio a slight edge to sakara. My first thought is rivera r2 tko. Very solid fight for sure

Look what happened when he faugh Leben though. Sakara is way more technical than Leben but he got lured into a brawl and got KO"D. Jorge's just gotta do the same thing.

why do you think he has a weaker chin than Leben? i don't agree or disagree. I'm curious what makes you think that. I could probably look at his record to refresh my memory but I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would lead me to believe he has a weak chin.
I'll probably be going w/Rivera for the KO/TKO.
