A got the demo off a friend today and after just a quick go it seems better than 2009.Does anyone no to play the demo online do aye have to download the demo from xboxlive?

Downloaded it this afternoon. Big improvement from the previous games but no online play in the demo. Your strikes change depending on your distance and the controls are much the same as before. Lots more submissions then last years aswell. Great demo and cant wait for the game to come out.

I was pleasantly surprised...I expected some polishing, but they really made some solid improvements. I haven't tinkered around much with the grappling yet, but the striking is very fun. You actually feel like you're fighting with that particular fighter, opposed to just a striking style.

1.Improved striking
2.Improved graphics
3.Imrpoved clinch game
4.The character selection looks like it will be easier to navigate.


Bad

1. Ground game seems a bit jerky at times
2.Submissions still suck.
3. The overall speed seems akward at times

This is just a demo though. Still room for improvement.

I haven't done much with the submissions yet, but I actually really pleased with the submissions last time, so we'll see. I believe the fighter slows down if he wears himself out...so resting a little tends to bring the speed back up.

I agree for the most part with the post above but I also felt this

Good:
The fence plays a cool part, like you can pin the guys against it with the clinch and they can be rocked against it ala chuck/tito 2
Higher diversity of strikes, smoother easier to put together combos.
Muay Thai isn't just kicks any more.
Cooler submissions and easier to submit/ get submitted

Bad:
Swaying is not as cool as fight nights.
The ground is a little confusing for me for some reason. I can't figure out how to posture up in full mount. (probably my fault)

My biggest complaint against the submission system is that it comes down really to button mashing with the joystick. I would much prefer something a little more anatomicly correct. As if your actually mimicing the real move.
I'm glad that the fighter slows down when winded this year. Last year you could be winded and still peform moves at max power.
In terms of speed,the overall pace of the game feels faster and some moves seem to skip the complete motion and just go head into it. I like it the demo,the speed of it feels akward though.

it has some great improvements.

I hate the fact that when I KO someone, I have my arms raised in the air before he even hits the ground, and I cant get more then 2 or 3 shots on a rocked opponent before the ref stops it.

I like the faint and sway system, took me a few matches to get used to it, but I have it down already.

i think the submisions should be the same as the transitions system, you should click to snap in on, then have to transition through the steps to complete it, be it button mashing or stick rotating, maybe rotate to a certain point (fill up a power bar or something) then do the proper stick action to transition to the next step and rotate again untill you go through all the phases to complete the hold
