The CSAC has revealed the official fighter payouts from WEC 48. The total disclosed payout was $336,500 with the biggest share-$40,000-going to Jose Aldo.

Hopefully there was some big cash thrown around backstage, because that ain't enough money for the way those guys fought and the injuries they received.

Not that I know anything about this stuff, but I figured with them moving up to PPV, the fighters would get paid better. Guess this is about Zuffa making more money, not the fighters.

They can't pay based on PPV without having some idea of the final buys. If PPV's keep coming with similar numbers of buys you'll see the pay go up.

As did I, although of course these figures don't include the bonuses of the night or the usual other payouts. Still, with a nearly $1 million gate I would've expected another $100-200K to go to the fighters.
