"He's got a real tough fight coming up. His next fight's going to be against Chael Sonnen, and Chael Sonnen's one of these guys who's not going to lay back, not do what these other guys (did)," White told Rome.
"When he's been in this position when these types of fights have happened, it's been against real good jiu-jitsu guys, guys that want to get the fight to the ground. Well, Chael Sonnen's going to want to take this fight to the ground, but he's going to double leg him and bring him down," said White.
"Personally, I really believe that he was embarrassed by what happened that night, maybe he did have a mental breakdown, I don't know what happened in the ring. All I can say is I know his next opponent isn't going to be a guy who's going to lay back and let him do stuff like that."
"If he ever acts like that again in the ring, I will cut him," said the UFC president. "I don't care if he's the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. I don't care if he is the middleweight champion. I will cut him, absolutely."

THERE IS NO WAY SILVA WILL GET CUT AS A CHAMP

i sort of want to see anderson do that again just to see if Dana would really cut him. Dana says he'll do stuff he doesn't do and vice versa.
Sonnen can't stand for too long w/Anderson and Anderson probably doesn't need to worry that much about being submitted by Sonnen like he did w/Maia. If Sonnen can get it down and keep it down he's going to need to avoid subs and basically control from the top and hopefully GnP to a win. I doubt that'll happen but I can't help but want it to happen.

Sonnen is a tough Grinding wrestler with good ground and pound. I don't think he'll beat Anderson by any means, but I think it's a possibility. You can't count any one out these days.
He's looked great lately and the only guys Anderson has had trouble with so far are guys that were able to take him down. Chael might be able to do that.

Man, as far as im concerned, this ends just the way the other title fights at middleweight did. Anderson sprawls all night and hits chael's face in til he stops shooting. I don't get it. It's so obvious that anderson needs bigger challenges. He should vacant the middleweight title and go up for good. there're plenty of fights that would actually might be competitive for him.

I guess Dana didn't want him to have an awesome fight against Vitor. So instead we get another standup vs grappler fight. I guess either Chael will lay his way to victory in a boring as fight (as there's no way he's damaging Silva through the guard) or we could see a more boring repeat of the maia fight.
Or Silva kills Chael in every way, either way Chael doesn't win and the UFC is VERY unlikely to win.

I said something about him getting cut in a previous thread.....does the PG think that would be the right course of action? I personally do as it would serve as a lesson to future fighters for generations!

I like this fight, Obviously Anderson will pick Chael apart on the feet, but Sonnen will take Silva down I have no doubt about it. The same people saying Sonnen wont take Silva down are probably the ones that said he wouldn't take Marquardt down and look how that turned out. Also, Sonnen is not boring on the ground he destroyed Nate the whole time he had him down. I think Sonnen will have similar success against Silva. I'm also curious as to why Vitor is not fighting, is he not healed up

Sonnen has come into his own, if he takes Silva down early, there's a good chance we'll have a new middleweight champion.

I don't know what the hell happened to Chael lately, but he has stepped his game up a bit apparently. The fact that he beat Marquardt is nothing short of miraculous to me. I never would have figured Sonnen had that win in him.
As far as him coming after Anderson- that's got to be a joke. Do we not all remember his last fight against Filho? Sonnen had absolutely 0 killer instinct in that fight. What makes them think that all of the sudden he's some kind of gun slinging banger?
Poor man's Hendo is a better assessment IMO
