Wow the Dolphins might be a team to watch out for next year. Between signing Karlos Dansby and this they're not doing too shabby off season.

Chad Henne's receving corp got better doesn't necessarily mean he will get better. Chad Henne still needs to work on his progressions.

I think the dolphins need to keep ginn jr because of his return skills and they are going to need other WR's when marshall get's doubled.

I am a huge dolphan and all I have to say is its about freaking time they are getting a REAL wr...

Now, to the point made earlier about ginn... I think he might actually step up and do a bit better now. Kinda takes some weight off his shoulders of not having to be #1 etc...

With the way the dolphins run the football, its going to be great to see a legitimate threat @ wr. Which is also going only open the running game up a bit more as well. I am really excited to see how the offense runs this season...

Sadly though, the jets are freaking doing amazing this off-season... I wonder how all the new blood with intertwine with everything / everyone.

Glad to see the pats slowly comming down for a bit.

The AFC East is going to be something to watch. All the teams (except the Bills) will be looking for the playoffs in the early going.

Going to be an entertaining year. (Go Jets!)

itll be great seeing Marshall thrash Revis 2 times a year.

I cant wait to see Mark Sanchez cost the jets a playoff spot now that TJ is gone

The Jets do not have the quarterback that can them get over the Super Bowl hump. Jets defense got them into the AFC championship game. As a lifelong USC fan, I am well aware of what Sanchez can and cannot do at the QB position and I am not sold he will have a large amount of success in the NFL. He should have stayed another year in college. Even at USC he was good for at least an interception a game.

Including his stats from the post-season he was still good for an interception a game. 1.05 INT's per game. At USC he was good for .77 INT's a game during the 2008 season (which was the only full season he started). In the 3 games he started in the 2007 season he threw 4 INT's. He never learned his progressions while at USC and I don't think that the Jets have helped him out much either.

I don't even want to hear his TD/INT ratio in college because that guy had every weapon west of the Mississippi at his disposal and an O-line that could give me time to throw the ball. His true colors showed last year when he had 12 TD's to 20 INT's. He had 5 multi-interception games last year during the regular season. Including 4 where he threw 3 or more picks.

Sanchez is destined to be a Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer. A serviceable quarterback who can hopefully not lose you the game while your defense knocks the other teams teeth out. Please do not try to convince me that Kellen Clemens and Erick Ainge are going to help Sanchez correct his reads and progressions. The Jets are sorely lacking at the QB position and unless they can sign a journeyman who can mentor those young QB's, they are destined to fall just short every time.

Both Johnson *and* Dilfer have rings. I'm not saying he'll get them "over the hump" but you don't have to be a superstar to win a Superbowl. As long as he's serviceable like the guys mentioned above.

Yeah, but the problem is that right now he isn't serviceable. When you're throwing 8 more interceptions than TD's, that's problematic. Not to mention that I believe the days of having serviceable QB's, an amazing defense and winning a championship are coming to an end. Right now it's leaning towards having a high powered offense and a serviceable defense.

Assuming that those days are not over, Sanchez still isn't there yet. Maybe 3 or 4 years from now. I still say that he needs a mentor at the QB position. Let's be real, who was his mentor at USC, John David Booty? Worst QB in the last decade at USC. The Jets fans won't tolerate too many games of Sanchez throwing multiple interceptions.

Johnson and Dilfer do have rings but the Jets current defense is not even in the same league as the Ravens and Bucs defenses of those years.

Oh, and Emfleek, I laughed my ass off when I saw that the Dolphins traded Ginn Jr. All I could think of was this thread and the amount of Fins fans who were excited to have Ginn Jr opposite Marshall.

"Chad Henne just got a whole lot better"

Chad Henne just went back to square one.
