And that dude looked insane! I have never seen Yushin Okami look so crisp in his stand up. He completely dominated Lucio Linhares. This definitely gives Okami a breath of fresh air in the middleweight division for sure.

Okami definitely looked more inspired this time around. I think when Chael Sonnen kicked his ass it really woke him up to get with it or get lost. I'd like to see him have a standup battle with a knockout artist/gatekeeper like Alessio Sakara next... if he could beat him it'll move him back up into being a contender.

okami/sakara would definitely be the ufc trying to test alessio, not yushin

I wouldn't mind seeing him face Rivera, it'd be a great test of Rivera. But against Nate, I can't see him winning. I've always had faith in Chael Sonnen since he destroyed Paulo Filiho. I don't see Okami producing the same results as Chael did.

He looked real good but, he didn't improve enough to make it a deciding factor against any of the other top guys, except Maia maybe.

Wow i just watched the fight, what a clinic, i like it when the guys keep it simple. 1-2 step out his lead uppercut then straight left combo was beautiful too. His steps out were the most impressive, he was always out of linhares range but just perfect to counter right after.

I was never a fan of Okami but now wow his striking is getting there, he just needs to learn how to check leg kicks and finish more of his hands combo with either a kick or a knee. Watch out 185ers Okami is back.

I had to do a google search to find it.

This is exactly why I made the thread about not seeing fights like this. It was entertaining, filmed, and not aired.

Bogus.
