Light heavyweights Matt Hamill (8-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) and Keith Jardine (15-7-1 MMA, 6-6 UFC) are targeted to meet at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned.

Sources close to the negotiations said at least one fighter has formally agreed to the fight and is expected to sign a bout agreement shortly.

Although not yet formally announced by the UFC, The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale is expected to take place June 19 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The event airs like on Spike TV and features the finalists of the reality show's 11th season as they fight for a UFC contract.

Jardine, 34, is undoubtedly fighting to stay relevant in the 205-pound division after three consecutive losses, and four of his six octagon losses have come by way of TKO or knockout.

In his most recent performance, Jardine was knocked out by "The Ultimate Fighter 8" winner Ryan Bader at UFC 110 in February.

I like Jardine but wish he could be more consistent. How do you make it three rounds against two of the hardest strikers in MMA history in Chuck and Rampage, but get KO'd so easily against Bader, Silva, Silva and Bader. I mean come on he's gotta start getting some solid wins together. That being said, I don't know who I want to win this fight, because both guys I really like to see fight and don't wanna see going out of the UFC. Hammill can win this fight if he takes Jardine down, but I think the unorthodox striking of Kieth will get him the fight if it stays standing. Hammill knows he can take the fight to the mat at any point and will probably take advantage of that and grind out a decision or late TKO.

is jardine safe from getting cut if he loses? i almost want to see him lose just to see how the ufc handles him. win or lose just about all of his fights are exciting, hes just so damn inconsistent as boo mentioned before me.

I can see the Hamill's game plan for this fight, one clean shot to the chin should do it. Sorry for Jardine, but 205 has too many people with fast hard hands to not have a durable chin. I don't care for Hamill much, but I got him knocking Jardine out cold. Hamill may not have the most accurate hands, but it only takes one.

They better be doing Bonnar-Kyrstoff 2 then because I think Bonar-Jardine 2 would have been great right now. At least for Jardine.

But I think hamil takes him out in a minute actually. No disrespect to Jardine or not because Hamil has amazing power in his hands, but Hamil always comes right at you which has always seemed to be the way to take Jardine out, when you don't give him space. Rampage did and he didn't get to finish him, Bader settled for a kickboxing match for 2 rounds and almost didn't get that chance, but hamil I think should come right at him and take him out early.

Then unless he gets a rematch with Bonnar I think they do let him go. I mean its one thing to keep Bonnar who was in an epic classic, and it's not like he gets KO'd all the time, he hasn't even been KO'd once I believe correct me if im wrong. But Jardine seems to get KO'd almost everytime he loses. So if Hamil stops him then you gotta save the man his health. No matter how much its sucks, I wouldnt want my company being responsible for him getting seriously hurts, if hamil stopped him that'd be 4 straight losses, 5 out of the last 6, 4 out of 5 by KO. Like in boxing, you got to look out for the fighter.

Hamill will drop the Hammer on Jardine. I think Hamills wrestling will cary him through to a GnP stoppage. Jardine goes to SF next !?!?!?!?!? Don't get me wrong i like Keith. Humble guy, fights his ass of everytime, but is very inconsistant. I think this is a bad match up for him.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a "loser leaves town" match.
