Who here gives blood?
I went today to give my usual pint of the red stuff (I'm up to 20 now and only 24 years old!!) and got talking to one of the nurses, apparently 97% of the population can give blood but only 3 to 5% do.
I was just wondering how many of the people on here have given blood/still do give blood.

They make you wait a year after a tattoo before you can donate and I've never gone a year without getting a little ink done.
so I'm in the 95-97% that doesn't donate 
If your life was on the line though, I'd donate any bodily fluids I had.

I've tried a few times but I pass out everytime before they can get enough. I have no fear of needles or anything so I don't know what's going on.

Yeah, I give blood. I'll admit, it's usually when it's convenient though...like when they come to my work. I've given plasma (technically sold) before as well. Now that's not something you want to do if you're afraid of needles. Needles don't bother me, but that thing was a 1/4 inch in diameter...it was insanely big.
