Gegard Mousasi's nickname is "Dreamcatcher", and evidently he's decided Strikeforce is the place to be just that. The Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion is expected so sign a long-term extension with the promotion shortly, although he currently has a "champions clause" that extends his current deal by 1 year automatically should he win his last fight on the contract, a title defense against Muhammad Lawal on 4/17.

I was hoping Gegard would go to the UFC until SF gets a few fighters. I hope Gegard fights Hendo, thats his only fight in SF imo at HW Gegard vs. Rogers, Werdum, and Fedor

HW? He is a natural middleweight. I think all of the above would destroy him. The hype train following Moussasi is getting a little out of hand.

The Strikeforce roster might not be very deep , but they are in this for the long haul . They are trying to create an image by signing top caliber talent , or top caliber prospects , and at the same time I like that they still put on fights like the Herschel Walker fight. The UFC is cutting a lot of guys without really giving them a chance , some of these guys are going to end up in Strikeforce at a bargain price and develop into stars. Henderson was a huge signing , if Henderson wins the belt , and Fedor ends up as Champion while keeping his streak alive , Strikeforce will have legitimate champions in all of their weight classes and divisions.

If he wants to fight the best he will have to eventually sign with the UFC.

my response...
I agree Gegard shouldnt fight at HW, but there is n o one for him to figh at SF (Besides Hendo), and im not on the gegard bandwagon. i just saw his dream fights recently.
I wanna see Gegard at MW until he beats Spiderman
GEGARD said hes moving to HW, not me, i dont make up his mind, i just repeat what he already said, without bashing him.
Of course he should fight at MW, and hw's would crush him prolly. but he says he dont wanna fight at mw anymore he says he wants to get used to LHW to move to HW.
