Filho On "Short List" Of Possibilities For Bellator Champ Lombard, Non-Title Fight |

Although it is a possibility, Bellator officials haven't decided if Paulo Filho will face Bellator Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard during the upcoming season 2 of Bellator. But Bellator officials said that, despite rumors from the TATAME website that the title would be on the line, if the fight does happen it will be NON-TITLE. It would probably happen on May 20 if it does.

So you hope that a crippling injury or death occurs? You should start by just hoping Filho is still in la-la land mentally so that he doesn't school Lombard with ease.

And don't read blackhearted murder in every message board post on the internet.
Lombard has the momentum right now, but it's been a long time since he fought top-shelf competition. Obviously Filho has much work ahead if he wants to be considered one of the best again, but he's still big and strong enough to give Lombard some trouble.
This fight doesn't do much for me. I see Lombard either quickly wrecking an underprepared Filho or getting tied up in a boring match where neither fighter takes any risks. One thing's for sure - a clear and dominant stoppage would be Filho's best win in a long time.
