And according to Michael Bisping, that's a good thing for Dan Hardy. "Dan's in a great position. All the pressure is on GSP for this fight. I know Dan's a consummate professional and I know from the UK scene he's come up with a great game plan to bring the UFC welterweight title back to England. I will be up late, and cheering Dan on for sure. He knows he's the underdog, but every welterweight on the planet is the underdog against GSP right now. Dan is a very good striker, he has that edge over GSP, but Dan's best weapon is his belief in himself. He won't beat himself before the fight starts."

A little off-topic...but does anyone else read Bisping's interviews using an accent? I'm not even reading it out loud, but I'm still reading it using a British accent.

i disagree with "dan has the advantage on the feet" GSP might not have crazy KO power, but he mixes his strikes VERY well, superman punches leg kicks jabs all of it, hits you with a 4 strike combo and then bam slams you on your head, and starts his GnP, rinse and repeat, GSP has MAULED his last 3 opponents just absolutely mauls them, how scary would it be if GSP had 1 hitter quiter power

I disagree with Bisping saying that all the pressure is on GSP, if anything its on Hardy being the first UK fighter to fight for the title, and possibly win the title(wont happen ) where as GSP fought in montreal won the title, on home soil against the guy that KO'd him, GSP knows how to deal with pressure.

Hardy has more power in his punches and he is very accurate, but GSP is really good at everything, he made thiago look bad striking cause of the takedown threat. apparentlty hardy expects that, and is hoping that standing will help him. he must think he can neutralize the g n p and subs, not get tired and stand up, or get stood up by the ref. The ground and pound will punish him and tire him in 2 rds.imo
I think gsp is the better striker, and could beat hardy in a kickboxing contest. but i do think Hardy is better than the haters suggest, and is up there with the top of the ww heap imo.

I find the vast difference between British and USA interpretations of the expression "filthy bum" hugely entertaining. And yes, I do giggle when I say "ragina". In any case, I hear the fat guy from 'The Full Monty' ("Put down and piss off) in my head when I read a Bisping quote and every sentence ends with "bloody wanker". Sometimes I hear "the life of the wife is ended by the knife" as sung by Stewie Griffin. Sometimes I hear Mrs. Doubtfire. Sometimes I hear Sean Connory and that pisses me off b/c I hate the way he talks and find the fact that some women find him sexy completely nauseating. Of course Dan Hardy has a chance to dethrone GSP, albeit very very very very teensy tiny. Alves was supposedto be the biggest test b/c of striking and size, but GSP schooled him.

There's a reason every welterweight on the planet is the underdog against GSP, and Hardy is going to find out why.

Well the reason i think Hardy's "striking advantage" every one keeps harping on really is just a way to keep interested in this fight. We have seen what GSP did to Alves and BJ, both of whom i believe are better strikers than Hardy. with that said i'll be rooting for a competitive match but i won't really be expecting one...but that is why an upset would be that much more spectacular.
and the only time i use an accent when reading a quote is when GSP, Rampage or Bas get quoted. idk why it's just for them though

Bisping would also be considered an underdog against GSP and for good reason. His style of fighting would not win one round against the Welterweight Champ. Also people seem to forget that GSP came into MMA as primarily a striker and a great one at that. IMHO GSP's striker> Hardy's striking!

Fundamentaly GSPs striking is better. Power goes to Hardy no doubt! We will definatly get to see how Dan is on his back taking a brutal GnP attack!? GSP absolutly schooled Fitch. I dont think Dan has the resolve that Fitchie has. GSP wins all day by TKO 2nd-3rd rnd.
