This is probably one of the most badass movies I have ever seen. It was 2 and a half hours long but I have never been so into a movie in my entire life. Horror movies don't scare me, serial killers and monsters don't scare me, but mind **** like this that play mindgames with you, omg I was freaked out the whole time, that shitty was crazy as hell man! I've never been so freaked out in my whole life. Badass ending that leaves you losing your **** haha

Got to see this movie if your going to the theaters soon. You will not be disappointed.

i read the book so i had to see the movie....and let me say this....ever since the departed, Leonardo Dicaprio has been a great actor imo and this movie is nothing short of awesome! The twists in the movie are amazing. Everyone should go see this movie

to the fullest
Pre-Departed I couldn't say I enjoyed his movies... First the departed and now Shutter Island. Gotta hive him props when the guy lands the right role. This movie was BA. Saw it last week and plan on seeing it again very soon.

I'm looking forward to seeing this, but I'll probably wait to get the DVD, or Blue Ray. I can't stand movie theaters. I really hate them.

Also, now that I know there is a book I must read the book first.

I must be one of the few that wasnt that impressed. It was decent but i was expecting it to be a bit more scary. Leo was real good in it as always. Might be cause i figured out the ending, but i didnt leave thinking i would see it again

I think Leo has always been a great actor, just that everyone can't get over his pick of roles....there is no excuse for Titanic or Revolutionary Road. However, he was great in Gilbert Grape, Basketball Diaries, Romeo + Juliet, The Man in the Iron Mask, Gangs of New York, and Blood Diamond, and those are all pre-The Departed.

me and my bro had fight all day long if it really happened or they fooled him into it. I think it was all for real, the guy was insane and even the writer who wrote the book said it in an interview. great moview tho..

The author of Shutter Island the novel also wrote the books Mystic River and Gone, Baby, Gone. I didn't know either of one of those was a book before it was a movie, but I loved both movies.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this film now, but I still think I'm going to pick up the book first.

I agree. The ending was like this.

"I'm so confused. Oh it's over. Ohwell I don't care anyway."

Di Caprio is an excellent actor.

With that being said...I can't say I'm overly excited to see this movie. I've heard mix reviews about it, too.

My guess is it's something like this, if you like to think then the movie will be good. If you like to watch something easy to follow that will spell the plot out then you will not be entertained.
