At long last it's on. Dan Henderson and Jake Shields have agreed to meet in Strikeforce with the Middleweight Title on the line in April. Shields confirmed the bout when speaking to MMAWeekly Radio on Tuesday night. The date & venue are set but apparently can't be revealed until TV arrangements are made. "I have a date (and) venue, but they told me to hold that back," said Shields. "Hopefully CBS. I think it's CBS. There's a slight possibility of Showtime because they're still (working it out). I don't know the rest of the card or any of that yet. But me and Dan's on, and I'm hoping it's on CBS."

Great fight. Hendo should be able to pull out the UD in this one.

I can't help picturing in my mind a grown man vs a kid. Shields is in for a world of hurt on this one. If Jake can take Hendo's back he may have a chance but I don't see it happening. I agree with karn, Hendo via decapitation.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

Shields is in for some trouble and a really long night ahead of him against Hendo.

Can't take him down and can't stand with him either b/c that mean right hand will put people to sleep and Jake's standup is amateurish. He better hope and pray he pulls off a slick sub really early.

I think this fight will tell us alot about Jake Shields. I think this is by far his toughest challenge. Before this fight his toughest fights were not against anyone of Hendo's caliber. I don't see Shields winning this fight. Hendo 2nd round TKO. Just my opinion.

I think Shields win over Okami is impressive. Okami is simiar to Hendo (without the big right hand of course) in that he is a big strong guy with great GnP. I want see the Okami fight to see how Shields beat him. If Rousimar Palhares couldn't submit Hendo I don't think Shields can. This appears to be a mismatch but then again I thought Lawler was going to KO shields...

man i just dont see how shields can win. hendo is an animal and there's no way shields is gonna out wrestle him. without wrestling i dont think shields has anything. it aint like hendo is getting to old, if shields thinks that hes gonna get killed. i see hendo TKO 2nd round by GNP.
