Team Alpha Male fighter, Justin Buchholz, is the latest casualty of the UFC 109 fighter cuts as the Alaska native has been released from his contract following a loss to Mac Danzig last weekend.

Agreed. He needs time to develop in the smaller orgs.

Why would they let go a guy who just won and is a TUF winner. Kendall Grove has lost a bunch of fights too and probably isn't a high caliber MW but they keep him around. Danzig is a good fighter, it's just that the LW division in the UFC is stacked (common sense, there are more 155 lb males than there are 250 lb males)....kinda what Danzig was saying in his post fight interview.

I do think Mac needs to be more aggressive though, sometimes he seems like he doesn't wanna be in there.

because if you beat up a kindergartener when your an adult did you win a fight??? NO when you win tuf you should be able to do something and beating bucholz isn't grounds to stay in the ufc IMO he acts like he doesn't care if he is in the ufc or not I'm not trying to bash or anything I just don't think he was ready for the UFC

last time I checked neither Mac Danzig nor Justin Bucholz is a kindergartener, therefore your analogy makes no sense...

the LW class is stacked, I can't think of the last time a guy was cut after a win.. all his losses in the UFC are to LEGIT fighters.....Miller, Guida and Neer.

I just don't think Danzig wants to be in the ufc I think he should have and could have done better in this fight I understand a win is a win but I wouldn't be happy about that fight

WIth the right fights, Danzig could put together a nice win streak in the UFC.....guys like Cole Miller, Efrain Escudero, Lauzon's, Dos Anjos all would be competitive matchups that could go either way.
