Sources close to the fight confirmed the bout with MMAWeekly.com on Friday. Originally, the bout was still only a rumor due to a pending MRI on Escudero's arm following his fight against Evan Dunham in January, but he has been cleared for action.

Lauzon might be in trouble here. Escurdero will want to get back to winning and he should be able to control Dan if the fight goes to the ground. WEll that is if Escudero takes it there. He might want to stand and bang with Lauzon. Spwral and Brawl baby. Either way it ends with Efrain's hand raised. Leaning toward a UD but he has the power to TKO Lauzon.

I'd like to see Lauzon win, but I think Efrain will take this due to his superior wrestling. I think Lauzon will probably get dropped down to the WEC after this, if he loses, I really think they should have developed him there first. Just my .02

I'll be pulling for Upgrade in this one, but I'm with you guys Efrain's gotta be the favorite here I'd think. I hope this doesn't spell the end for Lauzon in the UFC. If they dropped him to the WEC I'd be totally cool with that. Give him a chance to work his way back.

The matchmakers didn't exactly give him a couple of cans to start his UFC career.

He would probably be in some good wars in the WEC 155 class and probably be fighting for the title.
