This is a good match up.
Carwin has great wrestling and Mir has great JJ. Standing it's speed vs power. I want to say Carwin is going to fight Mir the way Lesnar did. He will try to use his wrestling to neutralize him on the ground and get the stoppage. I think Mir will try to stand up and pick him apart. Eventually trying to take him down for the sub. If it goes to the ground Mir will be trying submissions the entire time.
I can't decide.
The first one to make a mistake in this fight is going to lose.

Frank is a great fighter and very inteligent. I dont think he is going to try and stand with Carwin. I also said that before the Kongo fight. if he stands with Carwin. He will go nighty night. I also think he will have a hell of a time getting him to the ground......so in short I voted Carwin KO. Most likley the 1st rnd

Some people might think carwins bigger but actually frank is. Franks 6 foot 3 and Carwins like 6 foot 1 Frank walks around at 280 now and Carwin is 260 Franks striking technique is better but Carwin puts people to sleep when he gives you a high five. On the ground Frank has the advantage, why would Carwin want to go to the ground with him. Franks chin isnt the best and the only time Carwins been hit he seemed like he was on the edge of being KO'd.
Great fight but i have Mir by KO or Sub round 2

I say Frank 1st round TKO. You saw how Gonzaga was hurtin Carwin. I think Mir drops him like he dropped Kongo but finishes him with punches. And IMO Kongo hits just as hard as Carwin.
based on??? It takes Kongo a few hits to drop someone it take Carwin to flick you in the forehead and you might wake up next week if you are lucky
haha thats funny. But neither have really KO'd anybody special except Gonzaga for Carwin but Gonzagas always had a suspect chin and it always getting stopped these days. Kongo was rocking Cain every round. I mean maybe Carwin has a little more KO power in one punch but Kongo I think hits almost as hard but really it probbaly don't even matter since Kongo wasn't barely even able to touch Mir who has better technique then Carwin IMO so I think it'll be the same story, just end with punches by Mir.

before kongo fight i had carwin but now the new bulkie mir has a big motive to win, he doesn't want the title he wants brock badly
i think he will take him down and sub him quick no way it goes past 2 rounds, and carwin hasn't fought in a year

I dont see how mir can get him to the ground and I think Carwin can win exchanges with power.
If it ends in the first 11/2 rounds Id say Carwin if it goes longer than that Id say Mir.

I keep hearing about Carwin's great wrestling base. It's like Soukoudjou's judo black belt, it never gets used. The guy gets staggered in each of his fights, even the fight with Christian Wellisch.
Mir has this fight if he wants it. He has it ANYWHERE. He won't leave himself open like Gonzaga, and if he tags Carwin, I see the fight ending much like the Kongo fight. He's smart enough to know that he doesn't need to give Carwin a chance to recover by staying standing like Gonzaga did. He's going to submit Carwin after picking him apart and eventually rocking him to the mat.
Carwin will be exposed.
