Evidently he doesn't fancy himself a pre-fight trash talker like Mir does. Carwin says if people want a great fight they don't need to talk-they just need to tune in. And yes, Carwin predicts a KO.

You mean Shane "Holier than thou" Carwin won't be hyping the fight with a war of words!?!

Seriously though, I hope Carwin KOs Mir quickly.

I see it ending quick but with whatever sub Mir chooses. He should be able to avoid Carwins right hand long enough to find an opening and get the sub

Assuming he can get Carwin (the better wrestler) to the ground.

Someone's getting TKO'd, not submitted, in my opinion.

I'm more impressed with Dos Santos' punching than Carwin's. I don't think Carwin has showed anything all that impressive, he does have a long reach and heavy hands. I think his chin is weak, and that is a bad formula for a guy that wants to trade punches. I don't think Mir is scared of Carwin like he was Lesner, I think Mir will keep his boxing tight and make it a ground fight, and that is where I see Mir putting a vicious Armbar on those long arms of Carwin.

I'm more impressed with Dos Santos' punching technique. I think he much more polished than Carwin in terms of punching skill perhaps (although I know close to nothing on the subject so I could be way off).
But I think Carwin hits HARD. No one's punch-power impresses me as much as Carwin's.
Saying Carwin has 'heavy hands' seems like an understatement to me.

Although, tbh I have only seen Carwin and Dos Santos fight a few times each so I'm not too sure of what either is truly capable of doing.

I look forward to seeing them both tested in the octagon and I hope they fight each other one day.

I think his chin is weak

Based on...? He's never been KO'd or even TKO'd. His chin is weak because he's been rocked?

Combined TKO losses by both fighters = 4
Percentage of those TKO losses belonging to Carwin = 0%

If Mir gets hit by Carwin...it is over. Mir has to get Carwin to the ground quick and be ON TOP. I understand Mir is a great Ju Jitsu man but Carwin will mess him up if Mir ends up on the bottom. I don't think Mir will withstand the barrage enough to slap on a submission. Mir doesn't do to good when he gets hit a couple times. I would be surprised if Mir wins this one...he has surprised me before though. More than likely this will end as a KO or TKO victory for Carwin. Mir does have a good shot at a Sub win though. Watch Mir win by KO. Now that would be funny.

I predict Frank Mir commits suicide if he loses.

It's going to be a good one. I'm thinking Carwin by KO but Mir is going to be so prepared for this fight It's hard to decide.

i see mir puling out the victory by sub. i think he can not only hang with carwins stand up but i think mirs is just as good. he took out congo with his hands pretty much. it ended in a sub but he had already dropped him. i think it will be alot like the congo fight just longer. same outcome.

Don't forget that Carwin also has 5 (I think) wins by submission, so although we've seen him KO/TKO guys he's got a ground game. We just haven't really seen it yet.
