After an unbeaten amateur run, Colt Toombs will make his professional debut on Thursday night in an undercard bout during a Tachi Palace Fights card in Leemore, Calif.

Toombs is the son of former professional wrestling great "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

A member of Team Quest, the 20-year-old Toombs went 4-0 in amateur competition as a featherweight, winning twice by TKO, once by submission and once by decision. His last amateur bout was last October.

In his pro debut, he'll face Art Becerra, who is 1-1 and last fought in Sept. 2008.

Is he Canadian? I doubt it but that would be cool.

Interviewer says "Toombs, so Rowdy Roddy Piper was his wrestling name?!"

Side note - Piper was awesome on It's Always Sunny...

That's cool. I was always a Piper fan. Seen him live a few times back in the 80s. By the way Roddy is from Canada...so his son is at least half Canadian.

Just experience with USA hockey, a lot of Canadian players sons that are born in the US play for the US and basically claim USA, so you never know.
