Finally the WEC has made it to PPV. Somewhat disappointing that it's $44.99 as opposed to free on Versus, but they deserve to be. WEC has been putting on great cards and great fights for the fans for a long time and now their expanding.

Featured fights include Urijah Faber vs. Jose Aldo (Featherweight Championship)

Donald Cerrone vs. Benson Henderson (Lightweight Championship)

Mike Brown vs. Manny Gamburyan

They should push it back into the summer. Shame it's all gonna go to waste. Terrible terrible idea to make it 45 bucks. I mean the quality of the fights are definitely worth it but it's just not the same as the UFC though. I mean it is but its just not as popular. I mean you got 2 UFCs that people will buy over this since everybodies gonna wanna see Rampage-Rashad finally got at it, a lot of people are looking forward to Floyd-Shane and Floyd actually fighting a real legit welterweight. Nobodies going to spend $200 on pay per view in one month. I'm sorry it's just not going to happen.

...and what does this mean for the 2 events leading up to this pay-per-view. And the 2 events after the pay-per-view? Very little star power.

They must be hoping for all of Sacramento to order this PPV in their own home.

I wonder how far you'd have to go back to find a UFC that did fewer buys than this will.

I really love watching WEC but not for $45.00 I wish them well and will have to watch reruns.

i would have ordered this card without a doubt at half that price
$45 for a WEC ppv is insane and buy numbers will reflect that

With the numbers MMA has been putting up on TV there is no need for Zuffa or whomever to do this...other than money. I have been defending the UFC, Dana White,Zuffa and the whole lot of them all the way but I will draw the line at this one. If the UFC in April at Abu Dhabi UAE is on PPV as well...I will not order the WEC PPV. Has anyone verified that UFC 112 is on PPV? Maybe UFC 112 will be on Spike and they (Zuffa) will try to get their monthly PPV $ from the WEC event.

WEC always puts on such awesome cards....but I will not be paying for this unfortunately.

I hope there's a bar near me that will show it...but somehow I doubt it.

Have already heard tons of HUGE MMA fans saying they won't buy it because of its high price tag...

that means that the chance the casual fan buys this is slim to none...

I'd say 19.95 or even 24.95 would get a lot more buys

well, it sounds like the people have spoken, hopefully the brass hears us because it's only going to hurt them if they continue on with this ppv. even at half the price, it's still not going to do all that well, like most people have said, it's been hard enough getting people to watch on free tv. i truly believe that soon, possibly within the year, they'll have more star power, more fans and more of a chance to actually profit from a ppv, but not at $45. it's just not going to happen, it's hard enough for the ufc to sell cards without a big title fight, wec just isn't there yet. sorry guys, as much as i'd love to support this ppv, like everyone else, i'm already over my mma budget and predict a hard time finding a few friends to split on another ppv. good luck to them if they go through with it but i see a big loss ahead unless they make this one $20 and only have 3 or 4 ppvs a year, with the other cards free on tv, that being said, i'd buy this wec card before buying any strikeforce card at the same price, still too steep though.

I'd draw the line at $30, I think I'd pay $30 to watch that event...get a couple friends together and thrown down 10 bucks makes it easy to watch this event. I think that's what the WEC should shoot for.
