The "Ultimate Fighter" meets "The Skyscraper" in North Carolina on March 31.

Roy Nelson, the season 10 winner from the popular reality show, faces Stefan Struve in a heavyweight contest on the upcoming UFC Fight Night 21. The event will serve as the lead-in to the newest season for the Spike TV show.

MMAWeekly.com confirmed the long rumored bout with sources close to the fight that said bout agreements have been issued. Nelson also made a post via his Facebook page on Tuesday stating, "Stefan Struve should be the next fight in March."

interesting matchup

Struve IMO has a very good chance of winning this fight. his length makes him dangerous on both the ground and on the feet.

look forward to watching this one

I'll be pulling for Struve. I'm hoping for big things from this kid.

His length isn't going to overcome the massive skill advantage Nelson has on the ground. I have a bad feeling Nelson will hand the fight to Struve on a platter by not taking him down.

One very overlooked aspect of in-Octagon cardio is the ability to remain calm. Yes, Nelson is definitely out of shape looking, but I assure you he is not completely out of shape. And what he may lack in physical conditioning he certainly makes up for with experience and the ability to stay calm mid fight. That is one thing Nelson definitely deserves props for is how well he keeps composure even in tough spots.

That being said I agree with Struve presenting problems for Nelson based on his height. You can say that about any Struve fight though haha

Struve has decent ground skills as well, So combined with his length advantage I think Struve has a very good chance of winning this.
The heart he showed against Paul Buentello was incredible and that fight was excellent!

Plus I really want to see Roy get KOed, because I too think he's lazy.

Nelson by decision, he probably won't be able to hurt Struve standing b/c of Struve's height, but on the ground Nelson will show his dominance en route to a decision.

Love the match up, hope Struve can pull of a sub and get the win!

HE's got a lot of potential and when he gets his man strenght he'll be dangerous in the hw divison. I see big things for the sky scraper

I agree, although he needs a lot of work on his standup. His "technique" against Buentello was literally making me laugh out loud.

THis is Laurel and Hardy fighting. BUT, I think Roy has the advantage here. In his fight v. Paul B==who is a good striker, Struve showed the ability to stay alive and land. What Roy does is hit pretty hard and he has great wrestling and great cardio. He is overweight because he consumes more calories than he needs to. Not complicated. He probably burns 5-8,000 calories a day in training camp, if not more and then consumes twice that in bad stuff (his BK addiction). I wish he would just cut back his caloric intake but he has to get his butt handed to him for that to happen.

i think nelsons cardio is fairly good considering his physique. i wasnt impressed with struve's cardio or anything for that matter. hes just so friggin tall hes hard to dominate. i think roys gonna take him out.
