um Fedor has a pretty good chance of KOing Obereem
Fedor hits freaking hard and Obereem has been known to have a weak chin so I think the odds of Fedor KOing Obereem are better than the other way

Everything Overeem has done has done in recent has been very suspect IMO.
And the point of the article is very moot at best claiming how Overeem's striking is technically above Fedor's.Technique does not always win fights.Overeem can tell you this also since he is technically superior to Shogun,Liddel,Kharitonov and others however having lost to all of them.
Honestly if Overeem did not have the belt (which he does not defend anyhow)he would not even be mentioned in the same sentence as Fedor as a viable opponent. If he did not have the Strikeforce belt he would not have the right to face the Greatest of all Time!

Im not sure about this about this but i recall Fedor doing some session with Ernesto Hoost and Mr. Perfect said himself that fedor could do really well in K-1. Hoost is a K-1 Legend tied with semmy with 4 K-1 WGP titles. Fedor would KO Overeem faster that Badr Hari did.

Yeah maybe in a K1 fight Fedor wouldn't look the greatest, but that's because its totally different. The footwork is apples and oranges, stance changes with the the threat of being taken down.....u can't measure all strikers from different sports with the same tool. Overroid can be as technically proficient as he wants with his striking when he fights Fedor by K1 standards. Lets see how many overhand rights comin from the hip he can take on the chin with 4 oz gloves.....

To be honest I don't attribute Overeem's recent K-1 success to technical proficiency near as much as I do to a clear size and strength advantage over his opponents. For the most part K-1 Heavyweights aren't anywhere near the size of MMA heavyweights.
That being said Overeem has really impressed me lately but I still don't put his technical skills on the likes of even Badr Hari despite his win over Badr.

i agree. his win over badr was kind of a fluke IMO. badr didnt take him serious. and i really think that overeem's success is much like lesnar's in the way of size, strength, and athleticism. he just kind of overwhelms fighters. once he steps in the ring with the greatest heavyweight in the history of MMA his size and strength will be moot. i really like overeem too, but hes gonna get stomped

then I guess it's time to get back in the cage and defend that belt you've been sitting on for a year. I'm sure Fedor is willing and ready to test this little theory just like the rest of them.

He said dominate...Overeem needs to come to the US and fight Fedor. Do it in Japan, in K-1 and i'd bet on Fedor. Overeem isn't a great striker, he's relativly poor in a lot of area's, but his muscles having muscles makes up for that.

Let's put this is a partially irrelevant way, Shogun would still knock Overeem out.

Thats not a very good argument to bring up considering Overeem didnt exactly kick the S**t out of K-1 either. Win/Loss - Badr Win- Aerts (who, IMO, isnt what he used to be) Loss - Remy (just a list of the big names he faced in k-1 recently)
Oh come on, let's put this in context. Within his first year he clobbered the #2 guy in the first round. His next fight, he took Remy Bonjasky, the years previous champ (though by default, to be fair) to a close decision. Aerts isn't the fighter he once was, but he's still formidable and can still take it to the young guns. You seem to forget that he then damn near killed Ewerton Teixeira, who is no world beater but he has a reputation for being tough as hell. He then got beat by Badr Hari via the 2 knockdown rule in the tournament format. We'll be fair, it looked like Overeem had nothing for Hari in that fight and Hari was takin it to him pretty bad, but he didn't get KTFO like Hari did the first time (I think Hari would have still won, considering how the first bit of the fight went tho). This is his first full year in K-1 since his horse meat renaissance, crossing sports from MMA. I don't think a ton of MMA heavyweights could cross over like that and be successful.
Too many haters not realizing that Overeem made some pretty big moves in K-1 in 2009 but hurf durf overoids guys rite
