I'm proud to be doing what I do. I wasn't hurt at all [in this fight]. My lip got cut a little, but I wasn't hurt, I was fine.... My gameplan was that I am a better all-around fighter than him, so I was going take what I was going to get. Try and set up my punches. Set up my body punches -- not let him breathe. Set up the knee to the body. Set up the knee to the leg. I'm going to control him on the fence.

I think soon enough we are going to see Lawler vs Diaz 2 if SF is smart they would. Do it after each guy has had maybe 1-2 fights from now.

i haven't forgot. I still think noons has a great chance of winning a rematch although Nick's stand up has looked much better lately.

How soon we all forget what? A TKO loss due to cuts?. Junk fight...toss it away. If the cuts would not have been so bad he would have submitted KJ...or even KOed him. He will beat Noons if they fight again. The guy has fought a serious who's who list in his career. Who has stopped him? He has been stopped once...way back in 2002. Not to mention he got revenge 2x on the fighter (Jeremy Jackson). Besides the Jackson and Noons debacles his only losses were super close decisions or split decisions. I want to see Diaz back in the UFC. He is one of the very best pound for pound fighters ever. Great stand up and awesome ground!

I hate hearing how great his "boxing" is, any one of these fighters would out strike Diaz:
170 lbs St-Pierre Alves Hardy Swick Daley Koscheck Johnson Saunders
I think he said the other day he could beat Silva as well. So "could" I, so "could" anybody. If he really thinks so he needs to say, "I would Silva and St. Pierre."

I don't think he's going to be dominated standing with any of those guys. He has the right build for welterweight. Everybody says he wouldn't last in a boxing ring, but that's a different kind of striking, and he lands an unheard of amount of punches. We tend to talk about his striking and ignore the angles he uses. This guy never get's the respect he deserves because he runs his mouth too much, but what he does is every bit as impressive as what Machida does. I hope the UFC brings him back someday, because he keeps getting better.

I don't like his personality, well at least my perception of it.
But the guy is a great fighter. He has real crisp stand up. He won't usually knock you out with one shot, but it wears on you. His jits is great, he catches really slick subs. And his wrestling is improving.
He's good enough to hang with any of the top 170 pounders in the UFC. He might not beat them all, but he's up there. I could see him beating swick and hardy for sure. He might have trouble with guys like Kos, Fitch and GSP though. They can take him down and prevent subs. But I doubt any one of them could finish him.

Really? How many times have you seen him fight? His boxing is better than 7 of the guys on that list...He would come in number 4 after GSP,Hardy and Swick...

He was drained for that fight imo, he should never be below 170. I'd love to see a rematch at WW, I think Nick would destroy him.

All this list does is make me wish Nick Diaz was in the UFC so we could see some of these sweet match ups

His boxing is better than Swick, Kos, Johnson and Saunders....everyone else I think would be real close if it were just a standup fight with the two that excel the most imo being daley and alves

He was getting outclassed in the stand up department, and he couldn't keep Noons on the ground. Nick needs to beat a few more top guys before I give him the nod of even being a top 15 in any respective division.

He got beat in that KJ fight no doubt, but regardless RIGHT NOW, he is going to be HARD to beat for anyone really. He really has stepped up his game and he can beat you from stand up, and on the ground. He's a tough fight for anyone. GSP's speed might make it hard for him and I'm sure GSP would have a crazy gameplan to stop Diaz too.
