"We're going to have a big press conference in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday (Jan. 27th), with our new partners from the region, Flash," said Marshall Zelaznik, UFC's managing director of international expansion.

"(Zuffa CEO) Lorenzo and myself will be there with some of the biggest names on the UFC roster. I don't want to give away the official announcement, but this will be a very unique show and not just because the card itself will be as good as any in UFC history."

The show is expected to be the first outdoor UFC event in history.

Guess it doesn't matter to me. Anybody know how hot or cold it will be at that time of the month or time of the fights?

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

I looked it up earlier (didn't do a ton of research) and from what I found, it looks like the average highs are around 79-80 degrees.

I'm curious to see what the weather is going to be like.

King of the Cage had an outdoor event where it started to rain. One fighter finished another after he slipped and fell on his back. I know Bodog had events on the beachside, and fighters used to complain about the unhealthily hot weather they had to compete in.

The precedents for UFC's decision are not good, but I will rely on a fairly intelligent promotion like the UFC to make the right decision.

Kind of off topic but I saw outdoor NHL for the first time about a month ago. I believe it was Flyers vs Bruins.

Should be awesome to see an outdoor UFC event too, at least it'll have cooled down in the desert by fight time.
