A welterweight bout between Ricardo Funch (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Matthew Riddle (3-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is set for UFC 111.Funch's trainer, Brazilian jii-jitsu ace Marco Alvan, posted news of the bout on Facebook late Saturday night and wrote that the fight has been signed.

Nice, Riddle imo is a very good young up and comer...I got tickets to 111, so I'm glad he's on the card.

Heard Funch had good ju jitsu, which could be bad for Matt.....but I haven't seen it yet. So I will take riddle by decision

i think some of you guys are sleepin on Funch here..and thats all i'mma say..
 I was gonna say something similar. From what I saw from Funch he looked awesome on short notice against someone way better than Riddle. I think I may have posted that video here, yall check it out that havnt.
Only problem I saw with Funch was his TD but his scrambling ability is awesome and Hendricks was having some issues with it.

Riddle is one of the most boring fighters in the UFC.
He is young and talented... but just gets by on his strength. He will never go anywhere in the UFC because his wrestling isn't good enough to just hold down any of the better guys in the division.
With that said, Funch is not all that strong and Riddle should be able to control him unfortunately. Another boring decision for Riddle!

His wrestling actually is good enough, he was taking Oscipicizak *sp* down in his last fight, I think he kinda just got screwed a little bit because the fight was in the UK and the ref stood them up from the takedowns a few times.
IMO, he might not be the most exciting fighter, but he is doing the smart/right thing as a young/green fighter, fighting in the UFC. A few losses in a row will get you cut, so Riddle tries to make sure he wins, I don't see what's wrong with that.
I think he will grind Funch out.

You're right. He's already 23. Well past his prime! He'll never learn anything thing or improve in any aspect.
