I was on the UFC website and I noticed this on those three twitter accounts of fighters, and David Loiseau's was :

"Trying to get a hold of the UFC. Im willing to fight and and give 100% of my purse to Haiti... Im STEPPING UP! 100% all to Haiti!"

I guess he really wants to help out that's pretty good of him. Do you guys think he'll actually do it?

yeah its not hard to believe that he would if the ufc give him a chance and if he wins he likely get another chance in the ufc so it would benefit him anyway

Yes. A lot of people seem to be stepping up to help (not just athletes but they do seem to be making the most notable efforts) and I think I read Loiseau is either Haitian or of Haitian descent, so it hits very close to home for him.

This is an often overlooked aspect of philanthropy.

I think it would not be a huge loss to David either. He gets a shot at redemption and his purse would not likely be that big anyways considering his record has been spotty. Besides, donations are also tax deductible.

I am more doubtful of the UFC giving him a chance than anything.

I love the idea and all plus you would hope Dana White has a heart but I think time will be Dave's biggest enemy. The earthquakes a top story now. You know what happened with the tsunami a few years back and also Katrina, it was a hott concern for a few months, but then everybody stopped talking about. And you know when they book fights, they book them months in advance so maybe Dave couldn't make a card until maybe April or May when the concern goes into the back of peoples minds. I know charity is always a good thing and you can ALWAYS help no matter how long ago it will be since it happened. I'm just saying, unless he gets booked soon I don't think Dana will care that much.

I hope it happens, I love the cause and Dave's always an exciting guy to watch so I think they should give him Drew Mcfederies on Versus. That would be a freakin sick fight! Or maybe a MW pulls out of a fight soon they should let him step in like if Sakara or Irvin get hurt, you know the injury bugs going round. Just like Rush said I doubt it. But I would hope Dave would get like a $20,000 purse guaranteed, then maybe a 5 or 10,000$ win bonus atleast not because of him, just because of the cause and it's all going to the cause anyway. I hope it happens, just doubt it.

They are going to have a hard time finding a fighter he can win more then show money against! Feed him to Aaron Simpson!

Well, I think at this point, he is quite seriously and past the and donate all the "he can to charity fad".

I would hope, including all else, that we all feel the compassion and sorrow that these people have the face. I only wish that those who can give what they can do.

Edit:

Anybody doubting the crow should feel his elbows!

Also, Anybody who hasn't gave, there are still people and children who need help

Actually, he's not. He's still serious...problem now is he can't get a fight.
