BJ has basicly walked through the 155 pounders they need to look else where and try to get better fighter for him. I do not see him losing to anybody at 155 in the UFC he has already beat Gomi. I would like to see Aoki, milendez, or hell boy fight penn.

I think Melendez has potential to be a very good fight for BJ....But I thought that same thing about KenFlo.
Also, regardless of the outcome, I would kill to see Alvarez face-off against Penn.

I thought Diego would be the guy to beat Penn at LW. After seeing him get the **** kicked out of him for almost 5 whole rounds I have realized that no one at LW is going to take Penn out if he is taking fighting as seriously as he is now. GSP is the only guy who will continuously beat BJ.

On a side note, since no one in the UFC LW division right now is going to be able to beat BJ why not do Penn vs Hughes 3? Each guy has a win, it's an interesting fight, and Hughes would probably be interested. I'm sure he wouldn't want to go down the ladder and fight lower level WWs so give him and BJ a rubber match and I think that's the only real interesting fight for me right now. Besides, who doesn't love a good trilogy?

IMO BJ would KTSO of all those guys melendez would get took to school his stand up is no better than sanchez and hell he wouldn't be able to take penn down. Aoki is da man in japan but BJ is the man period I think it would be a 1st rd KO Alverez is good but come on really BJ would destroy him standing and sub him on the ground I really think he has the belt locked up for some time I would like to see penn hughes 3 though

I do think BJ would probably (almost definitely) beat Melendez, Alvarez, and Aoki....but I would still love to see any of those fights simply because I can't know for sure who would win until the fights actually occur.

Aoki wouldnt last 5 mins with BJ and im a huge aoki fan. BJ is just on another level much like the other champps right now. Glad maynard didnt fight him, diaz bruised and busted his face with his pillowfists imagine what penn would do. Frankie has improving boxing but I just see it being a short night for him. BJ should just stay at LW and keep killing ppl and put his name as the greatest LW ever.

So has GSP and Anderson locked their titles down. Who's going to give these guys a fight? Hardy's got a good punch, but not as talented as GSP. I am expecting another GSP beatdown.

they should have gsp and penn defend their titles on the same card
it could be called "mission impossible"

Spoiler alert: BJ wins.

The problem isn't bringing in new competition because BJ would beat all those guys too. I think a lot of those guys from Japanese org.s are overrated anyway.

The problem is the talent pool is so deep at lighweight that it's hard for anybody to put more than a couple of wins together and get marketed as a legit title contender.

At the end of the day BJ's only challenges exist in the WW division. I say they have him jump up and fight a WW every third fight or so. That way in a couple years he'll have 3 or 4 WW victories under his belt and they could market him in a possible 3rd bout with GSP.

Maybe have him beat Hughes, then defend his lightweight title a couple times, come back up and beat Koscheck, drop down again and continue till he has a legit WW win streak going.
