I think that is it for me to. Gomi should of signed with the UFC instead of fighting for the sub par org in Japan. He has lost alot of luster in the last few years. I think Diaz beat him fair and square. Screw the crap about him having mary j in his system. I really bet that helped him alot. I really dont see Gomi beating Kenny, Sherk, BJ, and I think Gray as well as guys like Griffin or Edger would give him good matches as well. Really who I want to see in the UFC to give BJ a run for his money is guys like Hanson, Aoki, Eddie, guys like that, that have a legitimate shot at beating BJ. I am excited about Gomi but alot of the Pride fighters are just not impressing me in the UFC and are getting older or past their prime maybe. Nog has not been that impressive in the UFC, Cro Cop hasnt ben either, Hendo was okay but has shown better fights in pride, Wanderlei hasnt done that good either.

Gomi is only going to win if someone stands and bangs with him; he has no ground game, but i am excited about the signing.

A motivated Gomi is a dangerous fighter and now that he's with the UFC I'm hoping he's going to be motivated. I don't think by any means he can beat Penn but I do think he can make some waves. Gomi hasn't seemed motivated at all lately so if he can get back to where he was hands down he'll be one of the best fighters in the UFC. Personally I think Gomi would destroy Fisher but would make for a good fight. Perfect fighter to market a fight over seas, if they can bust into Japan even, especially against Penn that in it of itself would be worth the signing of Gomi.

I really like the way the UFC is signing fighters that are going to help them grow markets not just in the USA. It's an exciting time to be an MMA fan indeed.

Gomi needs a new set of trainers.

Training yourself while also head-training fighters at your dojo cant be good for your motivation to be the best

I'm excited to see him come into the UFC and take a loss against someone higher up in the rankings. I think he will be a gate keeper at best in the UFC LW division. Giving him Stevenson would probably be a pretty good fight.

Pride was in no way shape or form inferior to the UFC 3 years ago
