A long-awaited welterweight bout is expected to take place at UFC Fight Night 21 when Anthony Johnson (8-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) finally meets John Howard (13-4 MMA, 3-0 UFC).

Although not officially announced by the promotion, UFC Fight Night 21 is expected to take place in Denver.

It's the first of two 2010 UFC events expected to air on Versus.

I've been really impressed with John Howard lately and I think Anthony Johnson is all hype. I'm going with Doomsday on this one for the upset.

All due respect, I feel the exact opposite. I think John Howard has been the luckiest of the UFC's recent acquisitions. While he's showed a lot of heart, to me he hasn't shown a lot of natural ability or physical prowess.

Granted, Rumble has been up and down, but I think both the loss to Koscheck and the weight issue with the Yoshida fight can benefit him in the long run. If he trains like he promised he would, comes in focused, and makes weight cleanly, I think he'll dirtroll Doomsday inside the first round.

And from what Rumble said, Howard declined the fight when it was first offered to him a while back. That to me says either he or his managers felt he wasn't ready, and I don't think he's made enough progress since then to be a legit threat.

Can Howard steal it? Sure, anything's possible, and in the Hallman fight he showed some KO power. But I think Rumble does everything better inside the octagon; the only question is, as stated above, making weight without draining himself.

Good analyzation. We shall see. I heard now that it may be on the UFC 111 card instead of fight night. Either way should be a war.
