While former PRIDE champion Wanderlei Silva has Michael Bisping set in his sights for the time being, “The Axe Murderer” has already began to think about the future, and apparently current middleweight champion Anderson Silva has no part in it.

So he's officially done then. Its one thing when no one else thinks you can win a title again, when the fighter himself thinks he can't win a title its just about time to hang up the gloves.

I think he's just being a realist. He says he wants to fine tune a few things before he were to take that fight...that's a bit different than thinking he can't win, especially considering it's a new weightclass for him.

exactly right birdman, he knows he has to win a few fights to be in the title hunt considering what his recent record looks like.

All he's saying is that he wants some tune-up fights. He never said he didn't thin he could win a title.

“After few fights I would feel comfortable, but now, I don’t want a fight with him.”

I can understand why he'd want Franklin. He's probably almost done in this sport and realistically probably won't hold another title, so why not take the matches that mean something personally to him. It was a close fight and he probably thinks he can win if they fight again. It's also gonna be a good motivator to get that win. It was a great fight so I'll have no complaints if it happens again.

This kind of reminds me about that other article with Frank Shamrock saying it would be good to fight Sakuraba cause they're both old and have bad knees lol.
