Tonight's show takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Two preliminary-card bouts air on Spike TV before the main card airs on pay-per-view.

Official results should begin at 7:30 p.m. ET (4:30 p.m. PT) for the preliminary card and 10 p.m. ET for the main card.


Preliminary Card -

• Rafaello Oliveira vs. John Gunderson - Winner - Oliveira via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

• Jake Ellenberger vs. Mike Pyle - Winner - Ellenberger via TKO (punches) - Round 2, 0:22

I went with gunderson as well. BUt I didn't have the cajones to take Pyle after seeing Ellenberger against Condit.

JOHN GUNDERSON VS. RAFAELLO OLIVEIRA

Round 1 - Referee Herb Dean oversees the evening's first contest. A quick touch of gloves, and UFC 108 is officially underway. Gunderson fakes a few jabs, but Oliveira scores first with a few light low kicks. Gunderson misses with a heavy right hand. Low kicks scores again for Oliveira. Gunderson sneaks in a left hook. Oliveira shoots in for a double-leg. Gunderson sprawls, stands, and works a guillotine choke while falling to guard. Oliveira stands, but Gunderson drags him back, not releasing the hold. Oliveira pops his head out and passes to half-mount, then full. Gunderson turns to avoid damage and exposes is neck. Halfway through the round. Oliveira lands a few short punches and slides out to side control with an arm-triangle choke in place. Oliveira can't finish it and transitions back to the top. Side control quickly becomes mount. Gunderson surviving underneath. Gunderson rolls to his knees. Oliveira has the back. he's high at first, but he slides back down. Gunderson grabs a kimura from the front and uses the hold to stand. It's only briefly as Oliveira moves him back to the floor. Gunderson stands again with time winding down. Oliveira pulls guard, but he forgets to bring Gunderson. A few punches come from the top, and the round ends. MMAjunkie.com sees it for Oliveira, 10-9.

Round 2 - Gunderson starts with the jab again. Oliveira kicks low, then goes high moments later. Gunderson more aggressive with the punches and lands a left. Oliveira shoots in and Gunderson again tries for the guillotine. It's not there, and Gunderson tries to transition to a kimura. He pops up in a scramble. Oliveira charges toward him and Gunderson again willing o go to his back. Gunderson works to a knee, but he can't regain the feet. Oliveira pushes him to the floor and works t half-mount. Oliveira slides to mount. Gunderson exposes his back briefly. Oliveira stays on it as Gunderson tries to roll. Oliveira has his right arms underneath briefly, but Gunderson spins out. Two minutes remain. Oliveira keeps mount and delivers a few punches before again earning his opponent's back. Gunderson defends the choke well, but Oliveira slides up and onto Gunderson's right arm. Gunderson defends from a kneeling position. Oliveira tries to work the arm free for the submission, but Gunderson yanks it out. Gunderson lands a few punches as time winds down, but it's another round in the books for Oliveira on the MMAjunkie.com card, 10-9.

I didnt think Gunderson was going to get dominated like this on the ground with him having all those submission wins, but atleast he has survived.
