EA has been wrapping up the photo shoots for their upcoming MMA video game. During the sessions, fighters are asked to make various facial expressions such as a look of suprise or pain.

Both of those quotes sounded like a "Terminator" quote!

Its no wonder companies have a hard time promoting Fedor to casual fans.

I dont see how his demeaner isnt marketable as it is, the unbreakable man, unable to feel pain, unable to relent, all about business, P4P, best heavyweight there will ever be, father by day, emotionless cyborg by night.

I think that's more marketable then a guy like Tito whos all talk then says hes injured after every fight as an excuse and isnt very respectful of other fighters, but I guess I'm not a casual fan so I dont count when it comes to marketability I suppose. If MMA was one big marketing game the UFC's HW and LHW roster would consist of nothing but WWE superstars imo.

It's the Ivan Drago effect.

First of all Grappler's post should have shut down the thread. that was hilarious.

Second---it's not just facial expressions that are marketable. the truth is americans like americans. It's just a god to honest truth. It's what they prefer. Speak English, look like a bad ass american that can take on the world and you are marketable here. That's why Silva has a hard time even though he is the baddest dude in the UFC.

Third point===Americans like winners. If Fedor keeps KO'ing people on CBS and they see it---he'll be marketable.

A guy that's really marketable right now off of personality IMO is Rampage. Yes, there are people that hate him, but he's a big personality and a very good fighter that has crossover appeal. Brock Lesnar is a big marketability machine because he draws in a lot of rednecks that want a big white country boy American to dominate like they imagined Brian Bosworth was going to. ;)
