"This might be the first UFC I buy and actually watch in about 10 years, you know?" Frye said. "These two guys, it's going to be one hell of a barnburner. They’re going to show these new guys how to fight." "You don't come (to fighting) to quote movies or thank your sponsors," Frye said."You don't come to have your fingernails or your toenails painted. Goddamn, you come to fight, not to be a fairy. Fight, that's what these two old boys are going to do."

It's funny because I just finished watching "Public Enemies" (the Johnny Depp flick where he plays Dillinger) about an hour ago and I was quite pleased to spot none other than our favorite mustacheode tough guy in a small role. He even had a line!
I turned to my girlfriend and said something like "THAT'S F*CKING DON FRYE!" and I had a sly grin on my face for the rest of the movie. I don't know, there's something about that guy I just love.
I guess my point is that Don Frye is the man and I hope we get to see him in more bit parts in the future.

I don't care what anybody ever says. Don Frye is the man.
I'm really looking forward to Coleman vs. Couture, too!
EDIT: Somebody put that Chuck Norris is a beta release of Don Frye

I find it hard to believe that in the last ten years with what fights have happened that this would be the one to get overly excited for.

No he didn't, either the guy who was speaking to his girlfriend in prison at the end of the movie did or that high strung cop who was beating his girlfriend in interrogation did.
Anyways, great movie, great fighter. Looking forward to seeing Don in more roles like that, guy has a great sense of humour and looks tough as nails

That's pretty ironic because this was the first PPV since like UFC 40-something that I've considered NOT buying. Anyway Don is awesome and always entertaining.

It would be logical that Don would be excited to see this fight.Don and Randy used to raise hell together back when they wrestled at Oklahoma State-Don actually got Randy into MMA.Don also fought Mark Coleman twice and is friends with him as well.
So it makes sense that seeing two old friends and former opponents of his fight would make him excited. And if you look at the style matchup,it should be a very exciting fight-I expect it to look something like Randy's fight with Mike Van Arsdale. There will probably be lots of scrambles, furious striking at short range, and plenty of old man strength put on display.
Brian.
