Although it's not a done deal yet, Strikeforce is reportedly working on making Fedor Emelianenko vs. Fabricio Werdum for it's April event on CBS. SF's Scott Coker also says he plans to invite Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem to compete on the event and also hopes to make Gilbert Melendez vs. Shinya Aoki and Josh Thomson vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri in '10.

I really hope Shinya Aoki is on this card. Fedor and Aoki on CBS would be pretty awesome. Werdum doesn't stand much of a shot against Fedor, but I'm looking forward to it anyway. If they can get Overeem on this card too it would really be a good one.

Why don't they keep all of their events on CBS, as opposed to having some on showtime? It is too much work for me to try and find a place that shows the fights and watching on the cpu just isn't the same.

This is going to be a good match for fedor to prove he has grappeling skill Werdum abu daubi champ looks in better shape physicly every fight he was a contender in UFC till DOS SANTOS knocked him down to strikeforce. I dont think fedor will finish this standing its gonna be a ground war. fedor has a number of ko wins but Sambo is about takedown and finish mostly submission and i think werdum may forget that and fall into Fedors ground game

pretty sure lawler is supposed to fight on jan. 30 not in april. cause he was bumped off last nights card due to his opponents late injury.

Werdum is the poor mans Big Nog and we all know what Fedor did to him I will watch but if Overeem is gonna be on the card why not Overeem vs Fedor plus everyone would rather fight fedor cause he is the peoples champ
