Strikeforce: Miami now has a main event.

MMAWeekly.com has learned that Nick Diaz and Marius Zaromskis have verbally agreed to a welterweight battle in the Jan. 30 event’s top slot, set for the BankAtlantic Arena in Sunrise, Fla. The two will fight for the promotion’s vacant welterweight belt.

My thought-
Nice match up by Strikeforce.Affliction also matched up great fights.I think this is the difference between the large American organizations and the rest. The big American organizations are more apt and try harder to give the fans the fights they want to see instead of pitting the big name guy against a scrubs.Let us hope that Strikeforce does not have the same fate as Affliction

I'm picking Diaz to win

but Zaromskis is a very unpredictable striker, he could catch Diaz very quickly.

Awesome match up. I love watching both of these guys fight. Although Zaromskis has fought and beaten some good competition, I think this is his toughest test thus far and it will show us more about where he really stands in the WW division. Both of these guys are warriors, but i'm leaning towards Diaz.

i love this matchup, and im taking marius, partly because i cant stand diaz, and partly because hes as hot of a fighter as there is right now and with that comes confidence, a confidence that cant be taught. he wont do well on the ground with nick in all likelihood, but he has the power and 4 limbed attack that can keep diaz from wanting to make a move to take him down. no matter who wins, this is going to be a fun one.

I really like this match-up as well. But until Diaz actually gets into the cage with his gloves on and mouth piece in I'm not going to hold my breath.

This might be the best matchup Strikeforce puts up this year. I'm leaning towards Diaz based on experience but Zaromskis has the potential to pull this one out and really make his mark on the Welterweight division as a whole.
