That's the request of native Hawaiian BJ Penn on possibly his next fight. Despite losing last time to GSP and making us suffer through "Vaseline-Gate" he wants a 3rd fight with the Welterweight Champion, and suggests it be a superfight at Hawaii's Aloha Stadium...perhaps in part because Penn dosen't think a fight with Gray Maynard will sell out the stadium.

What is there left to prove for either? Penn is not the same fighter at 170, and GSP has more than proven he can make short work of Penn at that weight. It's a waste of time.

penn needs to stop thinking because hes the best lightweight that he can jump to the top of ww whenever he wants besides gsp would just demolish him again

I'm thinking with no vasaline(joke) and in hawaii and not training with rocks underwater and REALLY training and adding muscle to move up not eating his way to 170 he would have a better chance better than last time cause GSP is like the mountain that he can't climb I would pay cause I still have faith

Well maybe cause I'm a fan of BJ Penn

Id love to see BJ move up and take out Alves or Fitch first. Id still watch anotther for between BJ and GSP although nothing would change.

I would watch this fight IF BJ were to train with Randy Couture and put on some additional muscle mass. I think with a good game plan Penn can beat GSP. If Matt Serra can catch GSP surely BJ can do it.

Just like the last fight between the two, GSP has nothing to gain from a third fight. He's beat him twice already, let's please move on.

I'd like for GSP to make his way up to the MW division and start out at the bottom and for BJ to do the same at WW.

BJ Penn is already going to be remembered as one of the best ever, I wish he would give up on his obsession with GSP. I would love to see him fight some of the other guys, such as Swick, or even Alves, GSP is a fight that he would have to spend some time living at 170 and training at 170 in order to stand a chance. We all no that the fight is going to be the same as the first two in strategy. Alves and Swick are great fights that BJ would have an above average chance of winning.

I'm thinking, why even ask for GSP again and possibly sully your record with frugal revenge like Ken Shamrock? Maybe GSP did grease and cheat his way to victory, whatever, Sherk cheated and literally nobody cares anymore or brings it up. Let's all move on and stop holding belts hostage for these so called super fights and TUF.

If GSP and BJ clean their divisions, so be it, I just dont wanna see anymore inter-divisional fights for belts. It totally screws over the loser of the fight losing credibility and marketability in the losers weight class. Inter-divisional title shots should be a last resort type of thing if you ask me and when they made BJ vs GSP 2, Alves was way more deserving and ranked higher at WW than BJ was.

Maybe you missed hte point of the thread, he is saying that if you want to sell 40K tickets in Hawaii that you aren't going to do that w/ BJ vs. Maynard of Edgar.

Though I'd love to see both of those fights before BJ gets another crack at GSP, I don't think either of them are worthy or headliner enough to sell 40K tickets in Hawaii against BJ. GSP however, would.

I would love to see a BJ/GSP rematch in a year or so from now as long as BJ keeps dominating these LWs and making them look like amateurs.

a UFC with BJ headlining in Hawaii would sell out regardless of opponent.

Just my opinion though.

BJ is the best LW in the world and its just that. hes not the best WW. I think he should stay at LW and keep whoopin' on people. He just butt-hurt about GSP kickin his a**. cant blame him though, everyone wants to avenge losses

The thing is these cities that have never held a ufc event always sell out and rather quickly. You put Penn vs ? anyone and it will sellout I'm sure of it the thing is, since its gonna sell out no matter what, what kind of a headliner is gonna sell ppv buys. I am interested to see them go at it 1 more time, just because. but as mentioned its really just not fair, I dont think its ever been fair that BJ just gets what he wants. How many guys u kno get an immediate title shot at a different weight class, bj is the only 1 i can think of and other than shamrock how many guys get a 3rd crack at a guy after losing twice, it's like pulver challenging bj again, actually that's even more fair. I agree with the remainder of ppl, fight fitch fight alves and earn the #1 contender spot, give the ufc no choice
