And for Diego Sanchez, it's working towards another shot at BJ Penn, probably with a healthy dose of "YES! YES! YES!" "To be honest I’m really f’nnnn pist off I hate losing and am more hungry for victory than ever ... All I can think about is working my way back to earn another shot at Bj Penn. My dream has changed it is no longer just become ufc champion it is to fight Bj Penn again. I will put my heart and soul into this!!! Im on a mission now. All you doubters shut up and watch me!"

Me too. He needs to work on his standup though. It wont get to BJ's level but Diego is better at taking damage so it could be interesting.

how is diego better at taking damage? penn's chin is granite and he's never been knocked down or out. just cause sanchez got hit 200 times more than penn did in their fight doesn't mean he's any better than penn at absorbing hits. if anything penn's ability to NOT get hit is a huge advantage over sanchez.

It's going to take a long time for Diego to become a legit threat to Penn. He gives up speed, accuracy, and technique when it comes to offense, and while defensively he can take some hits, his avoidance is nearly nonexistant compared to Penn's quality head movement.

Kid's got heart, but his striking and grappling are years behind.

I like Diego he has alot of heart and never quits but he got owned by BJ. You can tell a true fighter always wants to fight the people that beat them. It sounds alot like BJ's obsession with fighting GSP again. Diego should concentrate on winning a couple of fights and then hope BJ moves to WW and relinquishes the belt creating an interim title between Diego and Kenny.

WTF is with these pro fighters that don't know how to use a teep. Diego showed survival skills but it was pathetic that he never even tried something different, Diego never even tried to win that fight, much the same as in the Koscheck fight. It was amateur, I used to think it was a foregone conclusion that Diego would be a champion, now I'm really starting to question if he really wants it bad enough.

I'm as excited for BJ/Diego 2 as I am for BJ/GSP 3

Exactly!! I am game to watch a brutal KO, slick submission, all out war, but one sided fights/uneven match ups don't get me going much. I would have to see a LOT of improvement from Diego to want to see him fight BJ again.

Diego got out classed bottom line. what was he like 0-27 for takedowns. i like diego but he just not BJ Penn caliber. his carrer will be over befor he ever gets to that level. Penns just naturally a better fighter. Besides, i dont care about these fighters obsessions for avenging losses, i just want to see good, even, exciting fights.

Exactly, let's get Diego in there with Kenflo at 155. Now there's a fight that's interesting. A rematch at a different weight class at different points in both fighters careers. Those are the fights I want to see as a fan. Not dudes getting beat the f*ck up.

I think there are better matchups out there for BJ.

For instance...

1 - A chocolate covered screwdriver.
2 - A turtleneck sweater.
3 - A plastic Wal-Mart bag.

haha. THat matchup thing is funny. Literally at ltwt right now I think the BEST thing that guys could do is come into the cage with a plate of poi, put it in the opposite side of the octagon and let BJ breathe in the smells. Then lay down when the bell rings so that he can go get some of the food and attack from behind when he's busy eating.

Other than that, I'm not seeing many people challenge him at Ltweight. Diego is very impressive at ltweight and will probably beat everyone in that weight class---maybe even Kflo although I think Kflo has been looking very good lately. But, yeah. I'm not seeing it.

I want Aoki v. Penn honestly. JZ, Kid Yamamoto. Other than that....I don't think anyone matches up. Hanson? Will get KO'd.

Shinya would have to change his name to Shinya KO-ki after fighting BJ. I don't see that being a very competitive fight, honestly.
