“I was training to fight with Napão, but happened that he couldn’t fight so they putted Gilbert Yvel, who’s a very though guy, he’s coming from victory by knock out in front of Pedro Rizzo and has a very good Muay Thai”, said the fighter, who can still show an unknown side to UFC fans. “I think that his weak spot is the ground. We’ve trained to make a work with intelligence and a good fight and I’m training a lot on the ground, but I won’t want to take it down soon, I’ll want to feel the fight standing up... I know that he’s good but I believe in me and I know that I can represent danger standing up“.

You can't be serious? I believe Dos Santos is going to crush Yvel (and yes i'm familiar with Yvel)

And I'm not so sure he'd submit him. If Barnett can mount the guy for a round and not take his arm home, I doubt Dos Santos can. Very interesting fight.

To keep it short for you, boxer vs kickboxer.

That was one of Barnett's worst performances IMO, I dont know anything about Dos's ground game but he trains with the Nogs and we know Yvel's ground game is horrible... So who knows how it will all play out
I might be alone on this, but, Santos by first round KO from Left hook then uppercut...

Those were some of the sloppiest, amateurish sub attempts I've ever seen in a high profile MMA fight by Barnett. I'm not surprised in the least that we didn't see a submission.
As for this fight, JDS is getting the KO. If he gets hurt on the feet I doubt he'll think twice about taking it to the ground and showing us all his ground game I've heard he's got.
Barring the ubiquitous punchers chance I don't think Yvel has the skill set to take this one. It'll be very entertaining though!

Mir vs Kongo, the boxer won...
Vos v Black House in pure striking is a no brainer, but with a few well timed faints (fake takedowns) its a completely different dynamic

This should be a great fight....Yvel is tough on the feet, I'd like to see Dos Santos win this though because he's young and a future contender who already has some nice wins. Yvel is a great striker w/ a ton of wins by KO/TKO but he will never be champion in the UFC w/ all the wrestlers and BJJ guys there.

Yep, but its still an advantage to use 8 points of contact instead of 1 or 2.
