This is why WEC should not get into PPV.....they will find out soon enough that if their events aren't like $10 a pop (and even then!) that no one will watch them.

They need about 1 or 2 more years to build they're guys into real stars before they go PPV.

They have the advantage of free shows to build names and eventually they will have the depth and star power to justify a PPV show, maybe at $24.99 a pop.

If they add international talent. (cough, Kid Yamamoto, cough) they might actually sell a few. It could work.

Let's face it. The lighter weight classes put on some f*cking exciting fights. Period.

I'd rather watch Miguel Torres fight ANYBODY than watch Matt Mitrione gass against whatever faceless opponenent is also gassing.

The pace of the fights keeps you on the edge of your seat and the stars at those weights still have finishing power to keep you on your toes ie; Brian Bowles.

I think 170 and under are the most exciting weight classes in MMA and will always be, just based on the cardio and athleticism.

It's all about star power, and a few more years of showcasing these guys for free is what's going to build those stars.

Are you telling me you'd rather pay $44.99 to watch Rashad vs. Thiago Silva as opposed to $24.99 to watch Urijah Faber superfight Miguel Torres? Come on.

Give it time and it'll be worth every penny.

yeah, there's no way this fight could ever sell a PPV, regardless of how good both fighters are, it's just not worth the money when you can liekly find it online somewhere for free the next day. Zuffa really needs to figure out what they are going to do with the WEC.

Dude on that note, why pay for any fight when you can find live streams online for free for every fight!
